CD changer problem
temp. fix might be to go to the trunk, and take out Fuse Number SIX, then put it back in and turn car on, that might just reset it for you, again this is temporary fix, get it to the dealer....
let me know
The dealer had a replacement which took his folks 3 hours to get in and out . I had to wait 3 mos just to get the 6 CD's that were trapped in the unit back from MB.
Derek.
I have had the same issue. My immediate fix is to access the fusebox located on the driver-side of the instrument panel, take out fuse #6, jiggle the fuseholder block, and re-insert the fuse. This cures the problem. I suspect in my case a bad fuseblock connection. I have not taken it to the dealer yet.
Got the car back yesterday. They couldn't find any problem with the CD changer. I had several CDs in the unit that I had burned. They are alleging that this is the problem. They said that there is a dealer technical bulletin about problems with user-burned CDs in the unit.
Has anyone else heard of this?
