Tawin OR Oem 18 wheels for w211 E220 CDI

Hi , My car is E220 CDI with150 Hp I am confused for replacing my 16'' wheels I know that 18'' are look great on on car but I am from Jerusalem (Palestine) and our roads have many path holes so I am confused to choose 17'' or 18'' and OEM or Taiwan wheels

truly I want to buy it this week so i am some confused because everyone said to me that 18 not good and sensitive in path holes and maybe the wheels would died in less than a year

Can anyone advice me what is good for me car and if anyone have put Taiwan wheels in 18'' who did he have any troubles and if anyone put 18 Oem is it heavy and you had less performance and economic problems

I appropriate every advice come from experiment or knowledge

You are definitely going to experience a more harsh ride with bigger rims. I went from 18 inch to 20 inch on my old jaguar, and I promised my self I would never do such a thing again living in (NYC, pot hole central).

As for quality, I am sure OEM wheels have a better quality and longer durability than those from Taiwan, but I may be wrong.

Good luck

For the best ride and safety on roads with potholes, stick to your 16's. 18's look great, I use 19's in New Jersey and have to constantly watch out for potholes but I don't drive the car a lot.
