Folding mirror menu item

Earlier posted in the wrong forum sorry!

In the W211 manual it states that there should be an option to enable folding mirrors to come in every time the car is switched off.

I have the mirrors but the option isn't there.

Is there some sort of setup routine that must be done to tell the operating system that folding mirrors are installed on the car?

any ideas?

Regards,

Jason.

That is an option outside the US, so you'll need to get input from members in your region. Ours only fold when hit, and spring back.

Same here. I was quite disapointed that they don't have the folding option, even manually!

Our ML has power folding mirrors. Our '98 E did not have the manual or power folding.

The folding mirrior doen't fold when the car is switched off

Thanks. According to the manual though there should be an option in the preferences to have it automatically fold/unfold when the car is turned off.

It sounds like I am not the only one without this option.

Maybe the manual is wrong.

to the best of my knowledge the folding mirror option is, in the US, available on the S-class but not the E-class.
