Did I do right getting a staggered wheel setup?

I just ordered the AMG IV wheels w/ Bridgestone S-O3 in a staggered setup. This will be a summer setup only. Do you think the staggered setup is a better alternative than same size all around? For some reason I forgot about this choice when I ordered them and had to make a quick decision. I'm hoping I did the right thing. Also, please don't tell me I should have gotten 20" wheels (you know who you are ). I actually drive my car and 20" wheels would last 3 days tops before they were twisted like pretzels. Secondly, I'm 39 yrs. old and work in a pretty conservative industry, and 20" wheels on a Benz in my opinion (at my age) look a little ridiculous.

Thumbs up Absolutely, the right thing!

Cte430, you did the right thing! Your car will look awesome.

The only downside is that you can't rotate the tires in the usual manner.

Here is a photo of mine with the AMG Styling IV staggered wheel set up.

I believe you're going to love that setup.

If I had more $$$ to blow on wheels and tires - that would have been my first choice.

Post some pics when you install them!

Feeling much better!!!!!

Benggolf and mbprince, thanks for the pix. they look awesome. Beng, one question. I've been following your mods with interest. I am also interested in the AMG body kit. However, is there really that much of a difference in the side skirts as far as "size" compared to stock. i.e. is the side lower to the ground? would it look really bad if I just did the rear end? I love the exhaust and rear apron. I don't think the front is any lower to the ground than stock either? What do you think? Chris.

Guys, one more question

almost forgot, how different did the ride become going to this setup. Will I loosen my fillings?

Staggered is the only way to go. I would suggest 275's in the rear. Sounds crazy, but the 10mm (vs. the 265's) makes a difference filling up the wheelwell better. Once on you will see the need to drop the car height an inch or so. The ride is just as smooth, and it will look much better...
