Cancelling MB extended warranty?
Purchased an ELW from a MB dealer shortly after purchasing my brand new 09 e550 (Tire and wheel protection too). I am still under the original factory warranty period and am thinking about selling or trading my car. Am I entitled to a full refund of the ELW and tire plan? How do I go about cancelling the policy and getting a refund and it is something that needs to be done prior to me selling/trading the car? Thanks

It may vary by state, but I had 2 ext MB warrantys, 1 purchased in FL and 1 purchased in PA, and there was NO cancellation allowed at all (prorated or not) after the 1st 30 days in those 2 states. The cancellation policies are stated in the ext warranty in the 1st few pages.

Read the policy and look at the cancellation provisions in the contract. There are probably state specific laws and regulations regarding the insured's right to cancel and receive a prorata return premium. The policy however, also might be fully earned at the time you bought the extended warranty.
