W211 & Light Bulb replacement
Last night as I was replacing the light blub of glove compartment. When I was inserting the cover back into the mounting area then I heard a "clink", the light bulb was ejected (due to my own negligence) into the internal of vehicle.
I was digging the carpet and everywhere trying to get to the center console area but it was not reachable and I am afraid if this can cause any shorting problems later. And then I have received this error message on the dash saying "Active Hdlmp. Display malfunction". I couldn't find this error message on the manual but there were similar ones. When I insert another light bulb into the holder it no longer lit up.
What should I do? Any suggestions?
