Mothers 05500 - Fresh Handwaxing for June
Big lots had a nice sale on some of the Mothers products, I picked up the Mothers 05500 California Gold Brazilian Carnauba Cleaner Wax Paste - 12 oz for $5 and decided to try it out. I've been getting regular car washes and using the Meguiars Mist and Wipe detailer spray.. after the work I put into this.. I must say night and day difference in a fresh coat of good wax. The only negative reviews of this wax seem to point to another way more expensive brand called Blitz.
My E550 has ~60K on it the paint has lots of faint scratches when you get up close, other than that I haven't found a single door ding since I've had it.. and I purchased the "door ding protection package" as well.. oh well.
Enjoy some freshly hand waxed Black E550.. took about 3-4hours on/off.
Overall pretty happy with the outcome for $5.. love big lots.

I was looking at the Turtle Wax Black kit as well, but I read those kits are scams since the color is way beneath the clearcoat and its best to use a really good non-tinted wax.
