Steering wheel question

I was wondering if a 2006 steering wheel would fit on a 2003? They look exactly the same from what I can tell. Anyone with knowledge on this?

I can't tell you for sure simply because I don't have full knowledge of the electronics but I am certain the answer would have to be yes. Why? Well the only change for that part was at the 2007 facelift - the controls and SRS system are identical to my knowledge from 2003-2006.

Cause mine is really worn and only half of the heated wheel works now. SO I got one for a reasonable price but its from 2006.

Thats good to know. Im just worried cause mine is pretty old (03). So I would hate to take it to get it swapped and for the mechanic to get all the way in there jsut to say "sorry it doesnt fit". And probably have to pay the labour anyways for taking mine off and putting it back on.

Since you have the heated steering wheel, and due to your use of BRP characteristic spelling lol, it is obviously not a US specification E-Class, therefore I can only assume that the 2003-2006 model years didn't have any changes to the steering wheel/SRS airbag system just like the US models. I think it should "fit" that shouldn't be the issue, but someone needs to verify that the functionality will still be there and that it won't throw any errors.
