I wouldn't do it. It's your car, if it's something you like, do it. Like you said, you could always remove it. Maybe you should try asking for opinions in the C Class forum.

It looks hideous. Not only will it depreciate your car and make it look horrible but I think it will depreciate the entire W211 lineup in general

I'm sort of old school and for the most part I'm not a big fan. But on some cars it looks pretty good. For me, it looks better on smaller cars where the roof, glass, and hood, form sort of a unified theme. If the hood is very large the wrap starts to look weird or something. And on a white car I think you have to be careful or they start to look like police cars.
This looks pretty good to me:
Its more of a race "inspired" look and the smaller surfaces don't make the wrap look so over-powering. I haven't seen one on a Mercedes yet that gave me that same visual.
But....like everyone else said....it's your car and if you like it, go for it. If you do, post up some pictures. I'm always ready to change my mind.
