E55 wheels?

Guys, I was at the dealer today for my "appraisal" on my E500 so the dealership can report to MBUSA and get $$ back for my car.. when the NAV replacement arrives. Anyways, I inquired about the AMG E55 wheels (the W211 E55 stock 18's).. he said about $8000 and that's WITHOUT tires?

Is this true guys? I know a few of you did get some monoblocks, or AMG parrallel spoke wheels. What did you pay?

I also saw an CLK55 AMG today too (2003) with similar wheels but they were 17's. Not 18's. How about those? Any idea if they would fit?

Thanks
Peter

Yep, ordered on Monday and received yesterday. Now I get to stare at them until my replacement E arrives. I'm tempted to throw them on this car just to try them out! My luck i'll knock the car off the jack and ruin the car

one of seven
got my AMG IV wheels with tires 'through' the dealer (they buy from a local tire/wheel shop) for $3200. Could have gotten them myself from another shop for about $300 less but wanted to have the dealer do the swap. of course the dealer originally had a much higher price in mind.
