Indy "B" Service
Had a local indy do the "B" service today; bottom line was $218. They did everything called for in the service schedule/manual, including Mobil 1.
The indy also had lousy waiting chairs and no plasma TV.
The dealer wanted $470. Tough choice - I dearly miss that cup of cappuccino.

I've had bad experiences with Indy's. My ML oil light came on, took it to the dealer, and the Indy put the wrong type of filter in at the last oil change. My first Benz, Indy put non-synthetic oil in. Got to find a good one I guess, but that's easier said than done.

1. The only difference in the A vs. B is the cabin filter iirc, which is $20-30 and can be done in about 5-10mns by yourself. I watched my indy mechanic pop off the housing to check the filter (which was still fine) in 2mns.
2. I just get the A service and find a local dealer that will match a good local price. Recently, I just did my A again, Anaheim Mercedes is doing the A for $149.. BH matched it and did the full service with rental.
You should really consider doing the A service for a standard oil change and just checking the filter yourself.
