Engine Identification
How do I figure out what specific engine I have in a 2003 E500?
I guess I'm specifically looking for the specific model car, W211.xxx /yyy
I don't know the X and Y... Perhaps there is some vin decoder or something I missed in my search of this forum.

Go to the "sticky thread" called "Free access to MBUSA parts catalog" and sign up as directed. Enter your VIN and you will get a Data card with your engine data and a lot more.

Once you've downloaded and installed the software ..go to MD mode..type in your vin and save. then go to functions/datacard. Thats your Vehicle breakdown.
Your engine spec is under major engine assembly. Like mine is 113967M 223 E50 etc.
