03 e320 (w211) audio 50 to Comand Swap

03 e320 (w211) audio 50 to Comand Swap
So I never got around to installing the Dynavin unit as it was to complicated to install into a MOST system and I though I was selling my W211.
Anyway, I've decided on keeping my 2003 E320 (W211) benz. So now I want to install the comand system into there. I currently have the audio 50 system installed (I don't know the difference between the APS and non APS). It does not have nav installed, however it is the harmon kardon system. Now I see the comand being sold on ebay including the DVD drive.
Can this be installed into my w211 or not.

What else would I need? (gps antenna, dvd nav bracket, cables) Where can I find them?
I am just worried about the slight difference in the back of my unit and the back of the comand unit. Pictures below.

Why does having HK audio effect your ability to go to command? I dont think I have HK audio but I have a early 03 W211 with audio 50 and I want to go to command, and add aux in if possible

I have the same car and mine has HK sound, just look at the door speaker up front it should be marked "Harman Kardon" if it is, then you are good to go

The comand runs off of fiber optics, and so does the HK. So if you have HK then your car has fiber optics layed already. If you didn't you would have to instal fiber optics into your car.

I dont think I have HK but im pretty sure even non HK audio systems as long as its a W211 are fiber optic. From what I read if you want command 2.5 with hk you need to buy a new sub and amp, with the old comand pre 2.5 they are plug and play.
Im looking at putting in the new 2.5NG comand so I can have bluetooth and Hd radio ect.

i'm not familiar with the newer model comand so i cant really comment on the specifications on that. If there is an adapter to change the traditional wires to fiber optic then sounds like your good to go, but not all 211s came with fiber optic it has to be the HK sound.
i'm running a "euro" nav in mine, but i can attach a puck to run blue tooth for phones and what not, and yes i have the 03-09 comand in mine
