Ok, before I offer my unsolicited opinion, let's see where the kid's head is at. I have two questions for you:
1. Mr. djrome, what do you think makes a Mercedes-Benz, an ///AMG?
2. What's your mod list going to be comprised of?
I am very interested in what you plan to do to your C230 to make it a C32.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Clayton, you're holding back. I know you are.

Hey Clay, I am going for the AMG look. Can I badge my ride?

personally, i wouldn't put an amg badge on my car unless i had a supercharger from a c32/slk32 installed.

Quite simply, an AMG engine is hand assembled, by one man. Every nut and bolt is turned by the same hand. Your C230 was built on an assembly line, just like my E500, SL600, R500, and C240. While my SL600 and E500 both have the OEM AMG body kit, neither of them is worthy of the ///AMG moniker. Why? Because it's not an AMG. It doesn't matter that you may have AMG wheels, AMG tail lights, AMG shift knob, AMG guages.....it just doesn't matter. It doesn't matter how much you spend on Ebay trying to make your car look like an AMG. It will never be an AMG. Let me repeat that, IT WILL NEVER BE AN ///AMG.
Now, if you're so bold as to replace your assembly line engine, with a hand crafted ///AMG engine, and replace your go-kart sized brakes with true ///AMG brakes, then you're on the right path. But until then, your car is what it is. An entry level Mercedes and nowhere near the performance machine that the C32 is.
The only people you're gonna fool are the people that have no idea what an ///AMG badge represents. And the people that are in the know, are gonna laugh at you.
Quite frankly, it seems that now that these cars are becoming affordable to less affluent and younger folks, we're seeing more and more of this.
I'm sure my words are gonna fall on deaf ears, but it's your car, do what you want. Don't be surprised if you see your car in the official poser thread on this site one day.
I may have to post this link in the C32 AMG section to see what their opinions are.
My apology to the ///AMG community
