WSJ article on Nav and the coupon
The Journal finally got around to covering the NAV issue, says about 2,000 people prepaid and another 1,000 (like me) didnt but expressed interest in a retrofit
What isn't at all clear, still, is for non-prepays
a) how bad does MB intend to hurt the buyer on the trade-up
b) does the 3250 apply against that new MB build
Any non-prepays had a conversation with their dealer?
I'm thinking of setting an appointment with mine to get a number for my current very-low-mileage E500 to upg to a NAV-ified one (I'd also likely change to panorama and active ventilated seats :-) )

Another alternative if the dealer wants too much of an upcharge is to order the NAVMAN i-630. If you want to see pics of the one I had on my E500 Sport email me at JDSELTZER@AOL.com.
for $860.00 it works as good as my NAV replacement. I am now using it in the FX 35 and like it very well.

As to the $3250 voucher, I was told that it only can be used on the purchase
of a new MB from the aproved list. Any trade in whether it is your 03 E or any
other car will be treated as a normal trade in.The only special consideration is the
allowance from the voucher. As you know, the voucher is non transferrable and
must be used on a car delivered by Dec 31,2003
