Steering Wheel Interchangeability
In looking to change out my steering wheel there seems to be some differences in W211 wheels. Are all W211 wheels interchangeable?
If I was to go with alternate 2 or 3 would it require a different air bag?
Could I install a paddle shift wheel without using the paddle function?
What other steering wheels are compatible with 04 E320?

Good questions.
I'm told that the wheels (i.e. W211 steering wheels from 03-06 and 07-09) are interchangeable, as are the air bags, but looking at the cut-outs it doesn't appear the air bags are the same dimensions.
Curious to find the answer out as well.

the steering wheels are interchangeable, but you need the appropriate airbag fitted to the one you select.
Yes you could install the paddle shifter and just don't wire it up but what would be the point of having them?
