cooling fan help
cooling fan help
I'm a new MB owner in Zimbabwe and recently bought a 2003 Merc E 320. My problems started last week when for some reason the engine cooling fan started running continuously even after a cold start. and considering how loud that fan is it sounds like i'm driving a bus and quite embarrasing at times. My tech has messed about with the aircon system previously and when we hooked up the car the only error that showed was a stored one which said 'refrigerant pressure in air con system too high'. Would that cause the fan to stay on or should I be worried about other things??
please help

If it was hot outside and you had the a/c on high then it would have cranked up the fan to draw air over the a/c condenser. My car does that all the time in the summer, and I'm assuming it's pretty warm right now in Zimbabwe.
well, it's on all the time, even if the aircon's off and nomatter how cold.. car sounds like a rocket ship
Hi, I bought my first MB about two months ago, and since then it has been a problem after another. after changing all the front suspension and mounts, I turned the car on and the radiator fan kicked about 10-15 sec, I think it has nothing to do with me replacing mounts since I did not disconnect any wires while working on the suspension and mounts, but I unplugged the fan's connection (the one on the fan closer to the passenger side head light) and I saw some kind of green corrosion on one of the pins the smaller pin hole on the left side of the plug.
I just want to add that my AC have been out since i bought the car, could that be a related matter?
Please help!!!!
