LED's in W211 Arm rest

LED's in W211 Arm rest
Hi all, I'm new to MBWorld so apologies if this seems a bit dumb.
What are the LED's in the bottom section of the front armrest compartment for. What do they indicate? Seem to be either red or amber.
Can't find any reference to them in the hand book.

In the center console of my 2007, there is a Wrench button a I button and an SOS button. I think they all dial out to the same place, but indicate priority of answering your cars call to MBrace/TeleAid, since you get the same voicemail menu when the call connects.
