Hey guys, i just had my driver door repainted and now my power mirror is not working right. When i push it to move mirror outside ( towards left) it moves little bit but not all the way. up and down and to the right work ok. When they repainted they did take a whole mirror off including glass. when i took it back they said that mirror motor is failing. Does that sound right or is there something i can do?

 

I would have an indie or dealer look at the problem they would be able to diagnose it right away. With my limited knowledge of mirror workings I can infer that it might be improper wiring or something related to the reinstall, or it could have been damaged in that process. Unless you're willing to take it apart yourself that's your best bet. Maybe resetting the cars electronics but unplugging the battery *might* do something to correct a glitch.
