yup. it is. just search for NAV replacement and you'll see tons of threads about people who got their replacement car cuz MB couldn't retrofit the Nav.

i wonder what these 2000 cars entering the used market is going to do for E Class prices, it has to depress pricing power.

It may also partially be an MB vesion of a rebate!

Chryselr rebates, I just read were over 3K a vehicle.

this also ran as a story in the Wall St Journal this week.

the 'solution' was publicized a few months back, in May I think. There are photos of the letters all around the forum
