Does this mean I'm pre-wired?
Hello all, new owner of a 2006 E55 AMG (w211). New to this forum as well, but very familiar with forums overall, as I have been an avid VW and Audi owner prior to my new MB.
I love driving the car, but due to business, and other obligations, occasionally I have no choice but to answer the phone. I will NOT deal with a car without bluetooth! I have discovered that this can be added to my existing command system via the addition of bluetooth puck - IF the car happens to be pre-wired (if not, I understand that its a larger PITA and lots of $$).
Sounds like one can discover if they are pre-wired by looking in the armrest area, under the 2 buttons. I took off the cover, and low and behold, I found some connectors (pics below) - Can anyone confirm for me that these connectors are indeed what I need to hook up the bluetooth puck? If so, it appears that I need part number B67875878. Any input or confirmation is greatly appreciated!

All '06's are pre-wired... but that only means that the wires and fiber optic cables are pre-wired. You still need the puck in the console, and then the telephone module in the trunk. Cellphoneguy, or something like that sells them on eBay. Easy install. Around $800.

Call these guys for the most accurate info:
http://www.wireless4mb.com/
This is where the dealer gets the phones, mounts, and pucks.
The puck (or an MB sourced phone) slides into a permanently mounted holster (holster style depends on brand of MB phone or puck) in the console which slides into a plastic wall or floor mounted contact about the size of 3 quarters stacked. Using an MB puck will give you blue tooth of vaying degrees of compatability (such as phone book uploading automatically, manually, or not at all... caller ID & other functions) depending on which version of puck, and which cell phone you own.

If you don't have the phone module installed, then the puck will do nothing for you. Simple test: push the phone button on the command. If it says the phone is not installed, then you don't have the phone module.
There are SOOOOOOO many threads on this... please search, op.
