E 350 W211 stowed engine problem
Now again at 113,000 km yellow engine light is on and MB service dealer says that again balance shaft problem is diogonised as stored problem.I like know is it possible that in 40,000 km run from last replacement of balance shaft, same problem can come back ?
Secondly is it possible that after last repair in 2009 ,replacement of shaft was not noted and fault was not removed from car computer memory that time. That is why it is showing as stowed problem.
I have been to three MB dealers out it two person says balance shaft need replacement , third person says it does not , as repair has already done in 2009.
How to confirm that this is present problem.
please guide me

Only other problem along with this is Hill hold is not working and fault code for Floor Shift Mechanism is shown up with one mechanic and he suggested replacement of it .
Other mechanic says it is not Floor Shift Mechanism and to solve problem of Hill Hold not working he suggested flush out and refill break fluid as there may be air bubble which is causing Hill Hold not working. Please suggest.
Research your owners manual and see if you can find that function---it ain't there.
It all started with and old California sausage salesman who couldent get his horse drawn Skoda to stay put on a hill when stopped for a sale.
Good Luck---you will need it!!
I'm pretty sure that his car has them because it's not a US Market Car . Starting MY05 Mercedes removed features from their cars bound for the US market, SBC Hold and SBC Stop were disabled for pre-facelift E350s in the US.
