Keyless Go Handles but No Go?
My W211 E500 has Keyless Go exterior door handles, but it doesn't have the Keyless Go package. How is that possible?
By the way, I bought the car used, so I don't know what original factory features it came with.

That's a possibility. I don't know.
Since I already have the handles, aside from the obvious shifter Start button what else do I need to make Keyless Go fully operational? Is there some kind of module that needs to be wired in somewhere?

You may be confusing keyless go with remote open/close, which, of course, is keyless.
If you don't have the start button on the shifter, you don't have it.
Cost to add it would be prohibitive due to the many/complex components.
Not to mention new key(s) required.
Major components:
Master keys
Pushbutton start/stop switch
Ignition Switch
Door antennas
Interior compartment module/antenna
Trunk area antenna
Rear bumper antenna
Door handle switches
Door open assist solenoids (1 per door)
Trunk switch
CAN(s) used : CAN B, CAN C, KG CAN

Wait a second, Keyless Go would allow me to open a locked car door without having to press any buttons on the remote key fob so long as I have the key fob in my pocket. Do I have that right?
