Sunglass Drawer is stuck

2008 E350
Sunglass Drawer is stuck
My wife used her sunglass drawer as a coin holder and no a coin has made its way under the drawer and it gets stuck closed. I can get it to open but need to remove it to get the coin out.

Any suggestions?

sunglass holder? How come I never realized I had one of those in my car..? Where is that located??! I was trying to find it the first time I got into my car..

Its the small drawer between the Glove box and Radio. I wasnt sure what it was for until I saw a post it was for sunglasses.

Hahaha had that drawer in my 09' Clk for over 2 years..had nooo idea what it was for! You learn something new everyday day I guess..too bad its about 2 years too late!

Is there a trick to getting the trim off? I got it to move about 3/4" but need about another 1/2" or so.

Thanks for the links. Got the ash tray out and retrieved the coin. Put the ashtray back in and now its stuck. Looked around and found the spring on the floor so now I have to take the trim off the get the assembly out.

Perhaps the catch hooks are the problem (their job appears to be to keep the drawer closed)?. In any case, if you remove the drawer you can see if any catch hooks are broken or blocked
