radiator blinds are only on e320 for 0.26 cd
Inputs
Operating parameters
I think v8 engines from e500/e55 produce more heat; the blind is not necessary.
- vehicle speed
- coolant temperature
Operating parameters
- blinds close upon start up (if engine is cold)
- up to 50 mph blinds open (if engine is warm)
- above 50 mph blinds closed
- above 207F blind open regardless of vehicle speed
I think v8 engines from e500/e55 produce more heat; the blind is not necessary.

I first read about this in a Forbes magazine review. When I mentioned it to a salesman at my local dealership he did not have a clue as to what I was talking about!
"Air intakes sliced out of the front bumper contain 16 louvers that open and close automatically, depending on driving conditions and air temperature. If more cooling is needed (determined by a sensor that measures the coolant temperature and air-conditioning refrigerant pressure), more louvers are opened. When the louvers are shuttered, drag is further reduce."
Not sure if this feature is on the E320 only, the Forbes article did not mention it.

another e320 only thing is "brake pad wear gauge" -- used for measuring pad thickness.
