Newbie: Ordered a new e500 today...
Hey,
Name is Drew. My father just ordered a e500 today so I hope to be watching the forum to get some good info.

One question I have up front, we have a mid sept buidl date. What is the new "AMG package" rumored to have, and is it worth the wait?
PS: Obsidian Black, Ash interior, Premium, Sport (everything but the double sunroof)

i believe you can purchase the AMG package right now, im not sure whats the new one though

I'm just guessing here -- the AMG package is probably the side skirts and front fascia and the rear bumper from the E55. Perhaps AMG rims and chrome exhaust tips too, but again, this is just a guess.
If this is the case then you probably wouldn't be able to order it with the sport/appearance package as they are basically the same components (body enhancements).
I thought the AMG package was only for non-US cars? Maybe MB decided to bring it over for '04.
