Can the front come down more? Bump stops? [PICS]
Took my '06 E350 Sport in to get lowered earlier this year. At that time, it was still on the 18 inch stockers. I ended up going with H&R Sport Springs: Part No: 29324-4 specific for the sport package equipped vehicle.
It lists that the front would be lower 1.4 and the rear would be 1.3. While the rear looked fine after the lowering job, the front still wasn't to my liking. I would've preferred it to be another 0.25-0.5 inch lower. However, I just considered that this was due to still using the stock 18 inch wheels and continental tires.
Since two days ago, I ended up having a set of 3 piece, 20 inch wheels built for the car. The tires are Nitto Invo's and the fronts are 245/30/30. The rears are 285/25/20. After putting these wheels/tires on, I am really starting to see a noticeable wheel gap that's really disconcerting. What gives? I've read in the past that some individuals had to chance out bump stops to get lower, since the stock ones were thicker. I think I read that on the C-class forums though. I've seen others with H&R spring's and even Eibachs, and they seem to sit lower than mine. Is there anything I can do?
Thanks!

i dont know if there's a dead coil on w211 H&R springs, but i know H&R has a dead coil that's completely useless on other models. might want to look into that. if there is a dead coil, you can just cut that off without affecting your ride quality.

Yes, you can move lower spring base if it is not already all the way down and you have the OEM shocks, but you have to disassemble everything again. Look at part #3a.

you still want to turn the steering wheel right? Must the fender well basically sit on the tire?
The tire gap is not disconcerting. Whats disconcerting is the rear gap, which is nonexistant.
