2009 E320 A-Service fuel filter $200.00!

Just had my A service done again today at 63k miles on my E320 Bluetec, got a phone call that I needed to change my fuel filter every 20k miles on a diesel and the price was 200.00! I said no, that I would check around. What should I expect to pay for a fuel filter and labor?? $200.00 sounded like a major rip-off!! Also, 140.00 to have air filters changed!

That's one of the easiest DIY's there is. They are $34 online (get the one with the water sensor) and you'll probably spend another $12 on the clik it clamp pliers. It's right there on the top driver's side of the engine near the front, just daring you to change it.

Dealer said I needed the same thing...the mechanic came out and showed me how to change it. Said it's ridiculously easy.

Air filter should run you $30 online.
