i'm seriously considering doing some suspension mods..but then again i'm really happy with the way the car rides as is. Has anyone on this board done suspension mods to their W211? If so, got pics?

You need to put spacers for those wheels to fit, right???

Btw, they look very nice. MB cars just cant go wrong with any AMG wheels!!

Do you have airmatic? If so, lowering the car doesn't affect ride quality very much. It's very close to factory. I would recommend it. It's a very simple process to lower this car. What happened to your old User ID "Stevo"? why the change?

Direct bolt on??? Those wheels have offsets of ET44/46. Wow....I am surprised that they fit.

what's up tbone...i forgot the password to my "Stevo" account and the email that I had assigned to the account was no longer valid, so i couldn't retrieve the password. As far as the car goes, I don't have airmatic. What have you heard about lowering the 211 w/o airmatic? I live in west los angeles bmm

don't know too much about the comfort level of lowering a 320...most talk on this board has centered around lowering airmatics. But from experience, dropping coils is dependent on how low you go, spring rate, etc. Comfort usually does not approach factory though...good luck. Personally, if I were you, I'd still lower it...your car would look even better!

rpmstevo, you can always get the AMG suspension or Avantgarde suspesnion from Europe, that'll drop your car about 1"-1.5" inches. My car dropped a bit more after the suspension settled now with 9500Km on the odo its much lower than when I first got it.

thanks for the info muhri. I'll definately check that out. Basically i want to drop my car 1.5" and I also want the grill that "fiftyfiveforme" has on his E55. I think those two mods would make my car look a lot sportier. Do you have suspension mods? Or are you saying that your car's stock suspension dropped after putting some miles on it? Got any pics?

I love the expression grill too and was ready to order till I knew the price so I backed out for now cause I ordered the quad exahust but might get that grill later. My car has the AMG suspension along with the wheels and kit straight from the factory. Pics at http://muhri.net/w211 - and yes its dropped a lot more than your car standard and when it settled it dropped about .5 inches more. so I can say its 1.5 inches lower than the standard suspnesion.

1.4" drop

Hey Steveo-

I have an E320 as well. I've been doing some digging and H&R makes a spring that lowers the car 1.4 inches.

I'd do it right away, but my job situation is tenuous at the moment...

nice car rpmstevo! BTW, you may pruchase the same grille I have from performance products. Since you live in So. Cal, you may even want to pick-up the parts personally from them, just to make sure it's in perfect condition. Here's some more pics.

that drop looks great sf....pretty much perfect. Fiftyfive, what did that grille cost you, painted and installed? It looks great. Do you have a product number to go with it? Thanks

paul: I never thought the big star grille will look nice on a E UNTIL I saw your pic!!

guys: for those who want to lower your car but have much improved handling, I might have a solution for you - anyone want to take a guess? The answer can be found on my company's website for similar product, but I have not listed there yet. Whoever guessed right, I'll give him a 10% discount when he place his order.

Hello Harris: Thanks. And the answer to your question above is: lowering springs that your company have developed.

Are you going to develop a "lowering Kit" for 211 E55s soon?

If so, put me on your list please.

Sorry, incorrect.

The next guess by you, Paul, will only get 9% discount. 1% less for every incorrect answer! Btw, are you still interested in the wheels?

Yes and still looking for a dealer that will express confidence regarding the switching TPM system of the wheels.
