Do any of you guys have links to aftermarket grill vendors? Also, have any of you replaced your stock grill with an aftermarket one? Thanks

 

There are 3 grilles available. The Schatz sold by performance products is the cheapest <$400 and is seen on Rave E55's car. Expression of Belgium makes the one seen on 55forme's car cost $699 from www.performanceproducts.com but I bought one from them for 22% off. I sent it back because I didn't care for the fact it fit over the front of the hood rather than inset where the stock grille fits. The Expression grille also is somewhat flimsy and is a CL grille cut down and mounted to a fiberglass frame. I now have the Lorinser grille on order and it costs about $800 retail at Evosport or www.cecwheels.com. Compare for yourself.

The silver car is mine, the grill is a performance products grill (not Schatz) that I modified, so the quality would meet my standards.

 

The Expression version is the worst. It needs a frame around it to match the car like the other two grills have. The black one would only look good on a black car. The chrome one would look good on any car.

 

The Expression grille comes unpainted and needs to be painted. The Lorinser grille comes in gray and can be used painted or unpainted. The performance products grille is made by Schatz.

 

have you installed your lorinser grill yet?

 

the two black ones look sick...my 211 is black, so i'd go for that look as oppossed to the chrome. Do you guys know how much it would run painted and installed?

 

My dealer is charging me $200 to paint and install grille and spoiler.

 

cost is $175 to get the grille painted and installed.
