You have a car on order with a quoted price? They are telling you that the quoted price will increase?

usually all the prices go up every year, not just for MSRP, but options also. i think its like a 2% increase usually.

here in the u.k. prices on all models have been increased...our model, the E320 CDI has had an increase of 3%....but what really beeps me off is the fact that mercedes just increased their prices when i placed my order. it went up 3% b4 and now its gone up by 3% agn. thats an increase of 6% in 3 months im still hopin that we get delivery in sep, even if i have to collect my car 11:59pm on the 31st of september coz having to pay £750, its just stupid....its not a matter of i cant afford to pay the £750 when im buyin a 35k+ car, its just that when a price has been agreed.....it should stay agreed.....ppl who place an order now should be paying the price increase not me!

Note for the currency challenged American members:

750 pounds is about $1125. 35k pounds us about $52,500. US.

(give or take on a daily basis)

Your purchase order should list the price for the vehicle. The dealer is legally bound to honor the contract. I'm not sure what your salesman's been smokin', but it is having a profound effect on his judgement.

US dollar is too weak (vs. Euro dolloar).

I had to spend more USD on my vaction in Europe this year.

1 USD = 0.896740 EUR = 1.75395 DEM on 8/19/2003

one year ago

1 USD = 2.0018 DEM on 8/19/2002

I think the price should go up to 14.13% in order to reflect the exchange rate.

for a USD 50k+ German car, you should pay at least 7000 USD more next year. Because economy is too bad in US, mbusa actually absorbs most of loss in exchange rate for selling cars.

Price increase will be 3% max. DC leverages the Euro against other world currency (invests in other currency) to offset a particular strong or weak year for the euro or US dollar. This is why any price increase will be a fraction of the dollar's weakness.
