'97 E200, '06 E350 & '23 E350
Well they started using that engine/tranny combination in September 2005, so before facelift, does your car come with this steering wheel ? (Doesn't need to have wood)
If yes, then it's the facelift. You can allso check if you have a pointed V-shaped front bumber, or if you're not sure gives us the VIN and i'll provide you with all the information you need !
As for faults, well the early M272 engines had balance shaft issues which required the engine to be pulled out of the car and whatnot, big job.
Early 7G tronic units has issues with their valve body going bad and a rough 2-1 shifting,
This powertrain(M272/7G Tronic) was in itself a facelift before the official one IMO, and by 2005 the W211 had most of its problems fixed, not to worry there

thanks for info- the Vin no is WDB 211054 2A 918396. The car is 3L v6 with 7G box
Im not sure if it has SBC braking system or Hydrulic system as I believe merc and bosch dropped the SBC ( another worry) will the vin no tell u what braking sytem it has ?
My main concern is that at 91 k I dont have anymore problems

Ok Then , i pulled out your car's datacard. It has been built in late 2005 and thus it is not the facelift. The attached PDF will give you more details!
It has SBC indeed, but i wouldn't worry about it too much, anything built after March 2005 doesn't suffer from early failures that happened to MY02-03-04 and some MY05 cars.
I personally love SBC, you can also try some nice things with it like Hill Hold assist.
