Anyone try Nitto Motivo tires on their W211?

Generally though from what I have read about them is while they are good, they are generally out-classed by Michelin, Bridgestone, and some Toyos. Cheap isn't always better for tires so I would probably recommend Michelin Pilot Super Sports if you haven't seen that thread where I asked about them already. Comparatively, the Nitto Invo is rated at a 7.5 and the Pilot Super Sport from Michelin is a 9 on objective tests, so that gives you a little comparison guideline as far as their high performance summer tires are concerned (I know you're asking about the Motivos but I think the same rating ratio applies with the Motivos and Michelin equivalent which I think is the Pilot A/S Plus).

I am a Michelin man from way back. Always ran the Range Rover special tire (Precursor to the Cross Terrain) on the Range Rover until they came out with a Cross Terrain fitment for it. My Honda Pilot got 100K miles from a set of cross terrains.
I have the Factory Contis (but HR rated) on the GL.
The question becomes is it worth spending 1 1/2 times as much to get a tire that lasts 1 1/2 times as long, or do you go with a cheaper tire and change more often but end up riding on "New" tires for more miles.
The E will need 4 new tires at the end of the summer, and the GL will need 2 (because 2 were just replaced due to a sidewall puncture)
However, I think you'll end up splitting hairs if you try to compare the two brands overall. If you think they are better bang for the buck go for them, but being a Michelin fan myself currently repping the Primacy MXM4s, I don't think you'd be disappointed going with a Michelin tire. I advocate staying with what you are comfortable with.
