Turned on the car today, 08 e-350 4m p2 pkg, the lcd multi-function display inside the speedometer was almost white with just a slight hint of the normal messages and i noticed the clock moving to set to the current time. Everything else seemed ok, the other lcd displays were ok. After driving for about 30 minutes I noticed the clock wasnt keeping time from where it set. The battery is about 6 months old and seems ok. Anyone have any ideas what to check?

I've been experiencing this problem in my W211 E280 CDi for a little while now. Occasionally it comes back to its original white on black display and is legible, but most of the time it's completely white and totally illegible. Can't therefore see any information relating to journey time/distance/mpg, or any of the other functions available through the steering wheel menu buttons. Has anyone identified the problem and fix?
