A pump running occasionally--yes--the same pump that you hear occasionally when you open the door with the engine off or after you shut the engine down. Just a low rumble, non-intrusive but aware of it at low or no speed.

Let me tell you... you should hear nothing of the sort with your SBC braking system with regard to vibrating sounds.

I have had problems with my SBC hydraulic pump TWICE now. The dealer has had my car for 6 weeks continuously while waiting on a second replacement pump for my ex-car.

According to a MB rep, the vendor manufactured hydraulic pumps with faulty seals... the pumps had to be returned to the vendor for proper re-sealing. I don't understand why there is no recall on this item.

The SBC pump has just about made my car a Lemon...
