Question Replaced heater control valve... slow heat

Hi,

I replaced my heater control valve as I wasn't getting any heat from my car. When i replaced it, i had good quick heat for about 2 days.

Now it takes around 30 mins for the heat to kick in (if it does) and my center vent is always blowing cold air.

Is there a way to reset the valve? I was looking for a fuse but i couldn't locate it.

Anybody had the same issues?

The issue is not with the change over control valve. The issue is with your AC controller not getting the correct information----have your system checked out!!

I'm in the same boat.

I'm planning on having the HVAC system checked soon.

In the meantime any ideas of what the issue is and estimated cost to repair?

Thanks.

Don't always assume you are in the same boat could be loads of different things. You really need to test the AC control system and with the W211 you lost the ability to check the actual values yourself. That limits and makes the alternatives more expensive!!

First you have to define the problem with DAS Xentry or equal. I charge fifty bucks to provide a quick test(definition of the problem)----then folks can go where they want to purchase parts and fix the problem.

Ever get any resolution to this? My car is now doing the same thing. Low on refrigerant, so we fix that. The car also somehow lost its coding, so they reprogrammed it. 2 days later, now I don't get any heat out of vents. Funny thing is, it was doing this while I was driving to my mechanic (for an alignment), but after talking with him for 10 minutes.....boom, the heat comes back.

I'm leaning away from this being a control valve issue if the heat eventually came after 20 mins, but I'll have to test today and try to replicate. If it repeats, what could be wrong with the coding on the system then and how do we go about making sure it's fixed?
