2008 E350 in dash cd 6 disk changer
My CD changer is jammed and I cannot remove the CD's. My MB dealer says they cannot replace just the change but want me to buy the whole Nav system for $7000. Anybody know where I can purchase a new in dash changer. I would also like to be able to use MP3 audio books, but the player only plays the first 99 tracks. Thanks for any help.

If the CD changer is defective, then it, and it alone only needs to be changed. I would strongly recommend considering a USB memory stick adapter that will take the place of the CD changer in the radio's menu system and give you other capabilities as well. The "broken" CD-changer is simply disconnected and left in-place.

(you will note that the Dension configuration site only lists this unit compatible up until 2007 - I believe that this is because 2008 was a transition year for non USA cars to the updated next generation navigation system that the USA only saw in 2009)

- Does the rest of the radio system work? Navigation, radio, etc.
