Rear headrest locked, release button inop

Is there a manual release procedure for rear seat headrests? I cannot drop them due to button malfunction.

Service dept at the stealership charged me for 1 hour of diagnostics, couldn't find the problem (really??) and asked for more time and money . At this point I am not even interested in fixing the button, though I found references to SAM going bad causing this, I just want to unlock and drop the headrests. Any help is appreciated.

I have checked the documentation. I could not find any manual release procedure!!

Maybe checking the owners manual will provide a solution!!

I didn't mean to blame the tech, but I am not sinking anymore money into finding which control module failed, either at the dealer's or spanky's labor rate. I just want to know how to unlock those headrests manually.

Email member JBONDOX. Though he owns an audio install business he's installed/replaced headrests with monitors, he 'may' know. He is in Cleveland Ohio, if it's anywhere near you.

Thanks, and owner's manual was no help.
