E55 front Brakes on E320
Can you bolt up the front brakes from an E55 to an E320 (2003)?
I can't believe how poorly the stock brakes perform and would like to throw on the E55 brakes in the front to make up for the difference. I've heard they are pretty much a direct replacement and if this is so what exact parts are needed for the replacement?
I should note I don't have the stock 16" wheels on the car anymore so I won't have to worry about the brakes not fitting under my wheels.

I'm not sure of this but you need to check to see if the front spindle is the same. If it is a 4-Matic vehicle the simple answer is no, and trust me I looked at all options but you need to check the front axle configuration and the spindle itself. My (cheaper) recommendation is an R1 Concepts Premium rotor set front and back coupled with StopTech Street Performance pads. That's what I did for about $750 and $500 install and new brake lines, and the bite and stopping performance is incredible. Even in bedding in my brakes I was able to do 20 stops from 80 or 90mph without fade even though the brakes were visibly smoking. Plus with the para-aramid pads, there is no noise and little brake dust that also doesn't stick as much.
