DIY Brake wear Visit workshop! repair - one possible solution (RR brake) (pics)
I had a "Brake wear Visit workshop" shown on my dash couple months ago. I replaced the brake pad sensors and $10 stoplight switch, yet my car still showed that message. At least I did the stoplight switch as a preventative measure.

I decided to log in ALLDATAdiy.com that I had access to (this is worth the money with coupon), if you don't have the STAR diagnosis. I followed the instruction on that site for "brake wear" issue and decided to open up my STAR diagnosis to follow the instruction the site provided. It pinpointed to my Rear Right Brake Lining Sensor = "NOT OKAY". Wish I had taken the picture though.
So I performed physical check for any problem closer on Rear Right Brake area.

I found this sensor wire broke off from the clips.

The wire above the clip was kinked/crushed - external damage.

It was the bottom wire that was damage.

Bought a replacement.

You can see the wire broke off. This wire is for brake pad sensor.

Unhook the brake pad sensor.

Unscrew that wire part from the caliper.

Continue to follow the wire and unhook it.

Continue to follow the wire.

So far I got this much out.

You can see the damage (possibly from rubbing wheel as other forum stated).

Continue to follow the wire and unclip #1.

Unclip #2 behind that plastic cover.

Unclip #3 and its plugin place, behind the plastic cover.

Unclip that metal piece to remove the sensor wire (the top one)

Side by side, old vs. new.

You can see the damage closer.

Now re-attach new one in reverse order.

I tied that new wire with computer wire thing since the 3rd clip was broken off?. Hopefully it is secured?.

And done.

Thanks for looking everyone.
But according to photo explanations, OP just followed cable, inspecting it and found a damage. It's just just two wires that were repaired.
STAR shows which circuit has an issue, without STAR your option is to pull the each wheel at a time and inspect the cable. Remove connector from the sensor and place a jumper wire to rule out the sensor. If everything checks out fine, proceed to the next brake wear sensor. It's just that easy.
