2003 E500 I took in trade
I took a 2003 E500 in trade this week and planned to sell it when my 2014 E350 arrives in a couple months. My only problem is that this car seems so nice that I'm not sure I should let it go. It only has 26,000 miles and looks great and I haven't found anything wrong. It has all the updates that corrected things like the original SBC brakes that I hated on my 2005 E320.
I drove it today and was very impressed with the comfortable seats and the great ride once I brought the suspension setting down to the softest setting. I know that there is the risk of the front airbag struts failing but is there anything else that I should be concerned about? All service has been done and the owner had a complete inspection by the local dealer 600 miles ago and the only suggestions were to replace a couple air filters. I don't need three MB's but it won't be easy to see this one go especially with the low market value.

Wives make decisions easy. Ruth drove the E500 this morning and was very impressed but said we don't need it and my C350 is all we need to go along with our new E350. She is probably right so I will have to sell the E500 when our E350 arrives in October. In the meantime I will enjoy that fine automobile with a great V8.

Yeah... what you had was a momentary feeling of...
"This car is too good to give to a stranger for no money. I'm keeping it for myself."
...but the truth of the matter is you don't need it for more than a couple of weeks more and one of 2 things will happen...
1. Something expensive or irritating will fail, souring you on the car, or
2. Your car will come in and you won't even look back at this one after you take delivery.
Why dont you trade it in on your other one & save on sales taxes. (You can trade more than one car on a purchase.) They will send it to auction & you're done.
