W211 trunk leaking, and full of water!
I found the issue to be, water is somehow getting behind the back garnish on the trunk lid, and then poring out of the botton, where the trunk lid carpet meets the metal.
So anyway, upon removal I deemed that the original trunklid seal was gone, as it's clear water had been leaking down the back. So I stupidly decided to silicone up the whole trunk garnish from the inside, to stop any water getting behind.
Long story short, my silicone job didn't work and now the actual trunk lid is full of water like a swimming pool and the boot won't come up because of the weight.
So i'm going to have to remove the garnish again and possibly re-seal?
Does anybody have any tips of experience with anything like this?
