Location of '05 CDI Glow Plug Control Module???
Hello, Everyone,
Can someone tell me exactly where to find the Glow Plug Control Module (MB Part No. 648 153 02 79) on my 2005 E320 CDI???
I think it is under the INTAKE??? Is this correct?
How is the replacement accessed? Do I remove the air filter housing so I will have room to work? Or how else do I do this?
THANKS! I'm grateful. ( If someone will get me started, I'm a good how-to writer and I will do a detailed post on exactly what to do. )

I've replaced mos of my glow plugs and am concerned that they could seize in the head. I ended up risking the removal of all of them and reinstalling them with a trace of anti-seize. No problem.
Now I have a P0670 Glow Plug Controller Fault.
I'm thinking the controller has failed and needs replacement. It is $320 on Pelican but maybe easier at the dealer. I lifted the car, pulled the under engine covers, and it is right under the intake manifold. The screws and two electrical plugs. Not too bad.
I'll you know.

Changing the Glow Plug Timing Control Module isn't a terrible job but... It isn't easy either.
It requires unplugging two electrical connectors and then two Torx screws and then putting them back. The thing is, those screws are just above the starter and a PITA to get them started. I dropped one and it disappeared into the steering rack sub frame. Gone for good.
Otherwise, a pretty simple job.
