AUX|iPod for audio 50
Hello guys! i have had my e200cdi w211 (2007)(facelift) for about 2 days and i got extremely sad because there is no aux, no ipod/iphone connection, no mp3. I don't have a cd changer either. So, i am a bit frustrated, as my previous car XC90 (which I still have) was also lacking AUX hopelessly. So, when i was choosing this car i was told it MUST have AUX or at least bluetooth.
My question is: it there something i can do for the AUDIO 50, in order to have AUX input, WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE on it. I've seen some extraordinary expensive ipod kits, something like ~300$
Thank you for attetion!
Best wishes from Moldova,
Ion
P.S. I don't have an aux cable in the glove box definitely. The place is covered with material.

No, his car shouldn't have an AUX port. There's no AUX capability in an Audio 50.
Cheapest option would be to buy a used COMAND unit (not the newer style with hard disc internal drive, though) off eBay. It's plug-and-play to swap out an Audio 50 unit for a COMAND unit. At the same time, order the aux cable from a dealer and install it at the same time as you do with COMAND swap. Threading the cable's a b!tch, but it can be done.
COMAND looks so much nicer, and affords you the potential to add navigation later on.
