My E500 was built last week and my sales guy called me earlier this week that the car is waiting to be assigned to a ship. What has been your experience lately about the time it takes from the point the car has been built to when it reaches the US port. My car will be arriving at the Jacksonville, FL port.
My understanding is that it takes about a week to finally get the car delivered once it has reached the US port.

Clear Mats

Your signature says you use Clear Mats. Do you like 'em? I'm going to have stone interior and multiple people have complained about quickly they get dirty. I was thinking of getting the Charcoal mats but I'm curious about the clear ones. Do they also have MB insignia?

My parents have Clear Mats (or was it Exact Mats? Can't remember ...) in their Lexus and I have to say they're fantastic. Thick, heavy duty and not-that-bad to clean. The best part is that these mats are an *exact* fit for the car.

I'm going to try and remember where ... this wasn't an MB product, it's some company that produces these exact-fit clear mats. We put them over the original floor mats, and they're a great fit.

Thanks guys. My only thought is that some of the "basic" variety of clear mats that I've seen really make a rather upscale interior look ordinary. I haven't seen Exactmats but sounds interesting. Before I heard about the clear mats I was planning to go with Charcoal mats since they will atleast blend with the black maple wood trim. Plus they are not made of plastic.

Exactmats are great because they are custom fit per automobile type and cover the carpeted areas well....do they look great....not really, you see those "rivets" through out. In my van, I really don't care for the looks that much, it is more utility. I'm not sure if I will get for my MB, I think those black all weather mats I have seen from MB look better...

yea i dont think mb makes the mats, the dealer just fit them in for us for free. they keep the car clean, and very easy to use, but there isnt a mb logo or anyhing, the dealer put thier own on there
