2003 E500 Recalled
Hello All - 03 W211 has been recalled depending upon the month your vehicle was assembled. The recall campaign number is:
P-RC-2003080003. This recall refers to CHECKING THE TORQUE OF A POSSIBLE PINCHED BOLT FOR STEERING COUPLING. I just had my car repaired for this and it seemed that the pulling to the right got much better. I am not sure if this had anything to do with it or not.

thanks for the info. Maybe thats why i car pulls so hard to the right. I will call them and ask.

I don't think it's the bolt kit. They are checking the torque of the pinch bolt for the steering coupling and checking the prtective boot to make sure it was not damaged. The torque was incorrect on the bolt, so it is possible that it can come lose.
I didn't think this would make a difference in my car pulling to the right, but it did. My car had tires replaced and 5 alignments by the dealer, yes 5 alignments. After all this, the car still pulled to the right on a perfectly flat road. I always thought it was my tires, but I recently got the AMG staggered wheels put on and it stil pulled to the right. After I got this recall fixed 2 days ago, I noticed an immediate difference. My car is now going straight. I hope this is the case for other folks out there who has the same problem.
