Quick Tire Question

Is it OK to run a pair of new tires on the rear and a pair of 3/4 worn on the front?
I really don't want to buy 4 tires right now, figure I can put it off for a few months and get past some end of the year expenses.

I am, changing brands.
From Conti DW to Nitto Motivo.
Looks like the new diameter is about 1/32 shorter, but the Conties are 3/4 worn.
Does anyone really know how sensitive the 2007 E class 4Matic really is?

They are probably not worth much on CL, odd size and who needs two (or three).
They will end up sitting in the garage like the other set and a half of tires I thought were too good to have thrown away. (not for the E).
I guess getting 50K out of the set was decent, but the rears are still twice the tread bar (Decent summer tires). The single front is a bit worse, (Time to get the car aligned, I guess)
I was hoping to put off the service till after the Thanksgiving 2000 mile drive, but if I get new tires it will get aligned and I'll have them do the "D" service. (Damn, this month is getting expensive! And the GL needs its "B" service as soon as we get back!)

So since I was getting 4 tires,
(Decided on trying the Nitto Movato tires based on a few reviews a good price and a great warranty)
I took all four wheels in to get fixed (Straightened, bead-blasted, and re-powder-coated)
All that was at the end of the year, so today, I go to get in the car and notice I have a bubble on the left front tire (yes, I remember hitting a pothole on the left last weekend), then a look at the rear shows another bubble.
So off to discount tire to take advantage of the warranty I almost did not buy. (Got lucky for once)
Of course they are not in stock so I have to go to a different Discount Tire tomorrow AM to get the new ones.
Hopefully the wheels are not bent. (Keeping fingers crossed)
For those interested, the Nitto Movatos (at about 2k miles of use) have been great in the snow and fairly quiet. Hoping they stay that way for a good portion of their life.
I have heard they get noisy on GLs but that is a very different size and profile tire.
