Low RPM/idle stall. MAF changed. Help
So I have 2005 W211 E500. I'm experiencing intermittent stalling at low RPM specifically when coming to a stop or at idle right before I start to accelerate from a stop. Starts right back up after stall.
A check engine light appeared, Used an ODBII reader and found a P0104 (mass air flow intermittent). after a couple of days CEL went away. Took the car to a mercedes benz shop with a MBZ computer. They indeed found a fault code with the MAF. I replaced it myself with a Bosch brand MAF. Still however getting random stalls.
I had a similar although not quite the same symptoms a few years back and replaced the CPS. could this be the CPS again? was a MAF change even necessary? Could it be another issue with MAF system, since there was a fault code showing?
Thank you..
MB NO. 113 153 44 79
Hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5): check wiring of signal line and voltage (P0104)
Thoughts?
thanks
Autologic is like having an elementary education great for Yugo's and Chev's vs an MBA.
If like you say---quote Took the car to a mercedes benz shop with a MBZ computer.unquote you either mis spoke or you-------
My advice is find an MB shop that knows what they are doing!!
Dont take this the wrong way but if you can't say something productive please remove yourself from the thread. I don't need to hear your bitter 2 cents about what shop and or computer system is competent. This thread is about getting feedback from people who've experience similar issues. FYI this shop has been in business for over 25 years in the same location. They actually have a good working relationship with a MBZ dealership.
