Mercedes E Class 220 CDI
Illuminated ignition lock
Hi there,
Apologies for my ignorance but as a new owner to a E class 220 CDI I wanted to know if the 'circle' around the ignition lock should light up after unlocking the car door and entering the vehicle at night. Mine doesn't and with the dark winter drawing in I find it incredibly hard to get the key into the lock

Out Of Control!!
That is a great idea, however regrettably they do not blink, light up or whistle-----If you are clever enough you will purchase about three square inches of "glow in the dark tape" and make one!!
PS: Assuming you are not visualy imparied-----check your door switches, your interior lights come on when you open the door. If that is not bright enough, have you girlfriend carry a good flashlight!!
