Just wanna ask a question...HOW SHOULD ONE SERVICE HIS CAR..MY FRIENDS TOLD ME THAT A CAR IS DUE FOR SERVICING AFTER 5,000 KM....IS IT TRUE?...Mercedes Benz E 290 Diesel.

The car will tell you when it's due. Follow the MB service guidelines in the user manual located in your glove box.

Depends on mileage and as Thomas said, the service intervals outlined in your manual. You can also download the W211 manual if you don't have one, it's usually every one year at minimum or 13,000 miles 20,000km if you are using the proper synthetic oil.
